How to Write a Great Lifestyle Profile
Your lifestyle profile is your first impression — and on most platforms, it's your only one until someone grants access. A great profile filters for the right couples and screens out the wrong ones. Here's how to write one.
The basics that matter
- Be a real couple. Both partners present, both engaged, at least one photo together. 'Single half of a couple' profiles raise red flags.
- Fill it out. A profile with empty fields reads as a scammer or someone not serious.
- Get verified. Platform verification unlocks trust and the good events.
What to say about yourselves
Write like you talk. A short, warm paragraph about who you are — not a checklist. Mention your vibe (social-first? experienced? playful?), what you're looking for (couples, a unicorn, friendship), and what you're not. Specificity attracts the right people and repels the wrong ones.
The boundaries, up front
State your level clearly: soft swap, full swap, same-room only, whatever your lines are. Couples who spell out their boundaries get better matches and fewer awkward conversations. Vague profiles attract vague (and often pushy) connections.
What you're looking for
Be honest about experience: 'new and exploring' or 'experienced and looking for like-minded couples.' Mismatches in experience level are a common source of bad nights. Put it out there so the right couples self-select.
The photos
Read our photo guide — but the short version: flattering, discreet, both of you, multiple shots, consistent enough to read as real. No face is fine; no photos at all is not.
What to avoid
- Wall-of-text negativity ('no drama, no flakes, no…'). It reads as exhausting.
- Demanding lists of requirements. Attraction is a two-way vibe, not a job posting.
- Anything that could out you (real names, workplace, kids, identifiable tattoos).
Keep it current
Update it when your boundaries or interests change. A stale profile gets stale matches.
Your profile is a filter, not a sales pitch. Make it honest, warm, and specific — and the right couples will find you.
