What Is a Bull in the Lifestyle?
In lifestyle terms, a 'bull' is a single man who joins a couple — usually at the couple's invitation, often for a hotwife or shared dynamic. Like 'unicorn,' it's a specific role with its own etiquette.
What a bull is (and isn't)
A bull isn't just any single guy at a party. He's a vetted, respectful man the couple has chosen because he adds something to their dynamic. The couple is in charge of the arrangement; the bull is a welcome guest, not a third partner in a relationship.
What couples want in a bull
- A man who engages both partners. Even in a hotwife dynamic, the husband's comfort and enthusiasm matter. Ignoring him is a fast exit.
- Someone who reads the room. Bulls are invited in; they don't push the door.
- Discretion and reliability. He shows up when he says he will and keeps the arrangement private.
- Confidence without ego. Secure, friendly, easy to be around.
How bulls get in the door
Most reputable events vet single men and limit their numbers. To get into the good events: build a real profile, get verified, be selective, and carry yourself with respect. The bulls who get invited back are the ones who made the night better for everyone.
The line you don't cross
A bull never pressures a couple, never contacts the woman privately behind the husband's back (unless that's explicitly the arrangement), and always honors the couple's rules. The arrangement is theirs; you're a guest in it.
If you're a couple considering a bull
Vet carefully, meet in public first, and agree as a couple on exactly what you want. Read our single men guide for the full etiquette. The right bull can be an incredible addition — the wrong one is a headache. Choose well.
