On-Premise vs. Off-Premise Clubs
On-premise and off-premise describe the two main types of lifestyle club — and the difference is exactly what it sounds like.
On-premise
An on-premise club has designated play areas on site. It's the full deal: social spaces plus rooms where play happens. Consent and club rules still apply everywhere, but the venue is set up for play.
Off-premise
An off-premise club (often a meet-and-greet) is social only — drinks, dancing, flirting, no play on site. Couples who hit it off make plans to continue elsewhere. These are the lowest-pressure events in the lifestyle.
Which to choose
- First time out? Start with an off-premise meet-and-greet. Nothing has to happen, and you can just meet the community.
- Ready for more? An on-premise club gives you the full experience, but you still don't have to play — many couples socialize all night and never enter the play rooms.
Why the distinction matters
It sets expectations. You don't accidentally walk into a play room at an off-premise event, and you don't expect play at a social. Knowing which you're attending lets you prep mentally — and dress and pack — for the right vibe.
